Baby update!
I am now 25 weeks and 4 days!! I can hardly wait for our little man to arrive. I think that it is going so slow but I really only have 3 months left and then he will be here.
Some facts about me and pregnancy:
- I love being pregnant, I know it comes with weight gain and stretch marks but to feel your child kick inside of you makes it all worth it!
- I have now gained 12 pounds up to today
- I still don't own a maternity shirt or pair of pants and am still in my regular clothes but I am thinking about the switch more and more everyday because the pants are starting to get tighter and the shirts are as well.
- I can see my stomach move when I am being kicked or punched by Dakota and so can Daniel. He thinks it is pretty cool but when he tries to feel him he relaxes and doesn't let Daniel feel him.
- I really love buying baby stuff more then I care to buy anything else! I think anything small is adorable.
- I am attempting to make Dakota's bedding (wish me luck) it is really cute and the theme is Farm Animals. Daniel as always been a country boy at heart and one day when we can we will move to the country and live on a ranch but as of now we are bringing the farm to us. I'll show you the finished product sometime soon I hope.
- We have the baby crib and dresser up and I love looking in his room it gets me so excited to see him.
- I haven't had much cravings the whole time and I have been feeling great!
- I love my Hypnobirthing class! I think everyone should take that class even if you don't choose to have you child natural. I decided that for the rest of the pregnancy I only want to be surrounded by positive people and stories. When you tell people that you are going natural everyone tends to think negative and has the immediate response to share a horror story but I don't care to hear them because I just want to keep a positive mindset and I don't need the scary stories to worry me! So if your reading this I would love to hear happy stories but please at least until I have my baby keep the scary horror stories to yourself:)
- Everyday I realize how truly lucky I am to have Daniel in my life, I think to myself everyday that I love him but then the next day he surprises me and I love him even more then the day before. He is going to be a great dad and I can't wait to watch him with his little boy! Even though I will be outnumbered.
- I love my family! Everyone has been so supportive and I couldn't ask for a better bunch of people to surround Daniel and I.
Time is going fast and I can't wait.... I will post more in the next post and hopefully have pictures for those of you asking.
11 step program for those thinking of having kids.
Lesson 1
1. Go to the grocery store.
2. Arrange to have your salary paid directly to their head office.
3. Go home.
4. Pick up the paper.
5. Read it for the last time.
Lesson 2
Before you finally go ahead and have children, find a couple who already are parents and berate them about their...
1. Methods of discipline.
2. Lack of patience.
3. Appallingly low tolerance levels.
4. Allowing their children to run wild.
5. Suggest ways in which they might improve their child's breastfeeding, sleep habits, toilet training, table manners, and overall behavior.
Enjoy it because it will be the last time in your life you will have all the answers.
Lesson 3
A really good way to discover how the nights might feel...
1. Get home from work and immediately begin walking around the living room from 5PM to 10PM carrying a wet bag weighing approximately 8-12 pounds, with a radio turned to static (or some other obnoxious sound) playing loudly. (Eat cold food with one hand for dinner)
2. At 10PM, put the bag gently down, set the alarm for midnight, and go to sleep.
3. Get up at 12 and walk around the living room again, with the bag, until 1AM.
4. Set the alarm for 3AM.
5. As you can't get back to sleep, get up at 2AM and make a drink and watch an infomercial.
6. Go to bed at 2:45AM.
7. Get up at 3AM when the alarm goes off.
8. Sing songs quietly in the dark until 4AM.
9. Get up. Make breakfast. Get ready for work and go to work (work hard and be productive)
Repeat steps 1-9 each night. Keep this up for 3-5 years. Look cheerful and together.
Lesson 4
Can you stand the mess children make? T o find out...
1. Smear peanut butter onto the sofa and jam onto the curtains.
2. Hide a piece of raw chicken behind the stereo and leave it there all summer.
3. Stick your fingers in the flower bed.
4. Then rub them on the clean walls.
5. Take your favorite book, photo album, etc. Wreck it.
6. Spill milk on your new pillows. Cover the stains with crayons. How does that look?
Lesson 5
Dressing small children is not as easy as it seems.
1. Buy an octopus and a small bag made out of loose mesh.
2. Attempt to put the octopus into the bag so that none of the arms hang out.
Time allowed for this - all morning.
Lesson 6
Forget the BMW and buy a mini-van. And don't think that you can leave it out in the driveway spotless and shining. Family cars don't look like that.
1. Buy a chocolate ice cream cone and put it in the glove compartment.
Leave it there.
2. Get a dime. Stick it in the CD player.
3. Take a family size package of chocolate cookies. Mash them into the back seat. Sprinkle cheerios all over the floor, then smash them with your foot.
4. Run a garden rake along both sides of the car.
Lesson 7
Go to the local grocery store. Take with you the closest thing you can find to a pre-school child. (A full-grown goat is an excellent choice). If you intend to have more than one child, then definitely take more than one goat. Buy your week's groceries without letting the goats out of your sight. Pay for everything the goat eats or destroys. Until you can easily accomplish this, do not even contemplate having children.
Lesson 8
1. Hollow out a melon.
2. Make a small hole in the side.
3. Suspend it from the ceiling and swing it from side to side.
4. Now get a bowl of soggy Cheerios and attempt to spoon them into the swaying melon by pretending to be an airplane.
5. Continue until half the Cheerios are gone.
6. Tip half into your lap. The other half, just throw up in the air.
You are now ready to feed a nine- month-old baby.
Lesson 9
Learn the names of every character from Sesame Street , Barney, Disney, the Teletubbies, and Pokemon. Watch nothing else on TV but PBS, the Disney channel or Noggin for at least five years. (I know, you're thinking What's 'Noggin'?) Exactly the point.
Lesson 10
Make a recording of Fran Drescher saying 'mommy' repeatedly. (Important: no more than a four second delay between each 'mommy'; occasional crescendo to the level of a supersonic jet is required). Play this tape in your car everywhere you go for the next four years. You are now ready to take a long trip with a toddler.
Lesson 11
Start talking to an adult of your choice. Have someone else continually tug on your skirt hem, shirt- sleeve, or elbow while playing the 'mommy' tape made from Lesson 10 above. You are now ready to have a conversation with an adult while there is a child in the room.
This is all very tongue in cheek; anyone who is parent will say 'it's all worth it!' Share it with your friends, both those who do and don't have kids. I guarantee they'll get a chuckle out of it. Remember, a sense of humor is one of the most important things you'll need when you become a parent!

I sure am lucky to have these two boys in my life they make me smile everyday!! I can't believe that I will be out numbered by boys in my house 3:1 it doesn't seem fair but I guess I will have alot of boys to take care of me! Daniel is the best thing in my life and I couldn't imagine life without him he works so hard for us and I sure did win the jackpot with him... Boz keeps me going all the time but he also makes me clean all the time (so he doesn't eat things) but my house seems to stay cleaner with him around... He is so fun to play with and watch how happy he makes daniel.. Daniel has always loved dogs and it is rubbing off a bit.. I hate to think that our lives probably won't ever be without a dog in it but its fun at the same time because we get out alot with him so we can play with him at the river and in the mountains. He sure does make me feel safe though. And the soon to enter the world Dakota already has me so excited to meet him. I know i'm 4 months away but I love feeling him in my tummy and knowing that he is our little boy!! I just love my family!!!
Day 11 — A favorite book: Right now my favorite book is “Hypnobirthing” I know that might not be very exciting for any of you but to me it is fabulous because as many of you know I am going to have a natural birth and so I have to read up on everything and learn everything so I can be successful at this. Many of you may think I’m crazy and maybe I am but I have always dreamed of having my kids natural and so I am very excited for everything to come.. I have a few classes to attend with my Handsome coach (Sexiest I think ;)) Daniel and more things to read and watch and I will be ready I can’t wait!

Day 12 — A favorite quote: Happiness is not having what you want. It is wanting what you have.
Day 13 — What did you do today?: I woke up to Daniel telling me that I furness is not working and that if I wanted a shower I would need to get up and take it before the water went cold….. Dang I love my sleep but oh well then I took Boz out for his morning play and then ate breakfast and got ready for work and now am here “working”/taking a break so I can resume working for the rest of the day.
Day 14 — Your dream house... A ranch up in the mountains with a log cabin feel. Some animals to take care of especially horses. I want it big enough to entertain friends and family and warm and welcoming to everyone that enters. Somewhere where my kids want to be… Somewhere that makes memories happen. Fireplaces to make it toasty. I know this sounds cheesy but I love to think that this is where I will live one day.

Day 15 — Next 3 on “Bucket List”: 1- Visit all continents

Day 10 — A favorite food: My favorite food also depends on the day but I love fruit and lots of it... I also love Costa Vida you can't go wrong while eating there!! I get to go to the doctors today to see Dakota and since the doctor is so close to Costa Vida I might try to talk Daniel into taking me there... Yummy I can already taste it!!!

Mark Wills - Don't Laugh At Me
This has always been one of my favorite songs! I love the message that it sends to everyone about being different and not judging and I hope one day everyone will do just this and not judge and help out everyone that may need help no matter big or small.
